Sally Ride Chapter

In this beginner Astronomy course, we will cover various aspects of astronomy: its history and notable figures, the study of various celestial bodies inside and outside of our star system and galaxy, astronomical phenomena, astronomical theories, and tools and instruments. Topics covered include the celestial sphere, stars, moons, planets and exoplanets, asteroids, other star systems and galaxies, eclipses, black holes, the Fermi paradox, the Kardashev scale, and wormholes. This class is intended for anyone interested in astronomy, regardless of knowledge!
