Ernő Rubik Chapter

Ernő Rubik is a Hungarian inventor, architect and professor of architecture. He is best known for his invention of the Rubik’s cube. He initially started off calling the cube the Magic Cube before being told by a toy agent that the Rubik’s cube would be better. He created this puzzle back in 1974 and it took him 1 month to solve it for the first time. Since then millions of people have solved the Rubik’s cube and thousands of competitions have occurred. The first competition was held in Budapest, Hungary in 1982 and the winner took a whopping 22.9 seconds. Nowadays people have optimized the speed-solving method so much that the world record currently is 3.47 seconds.
