Srinivasa Ramanujan Chapter

Who was Srinivasa Ramanujan?

Srinivasa Ramanujan was an Indian mathematician who lived in India during British rule. Even though he had no formal training in mathematics, he made many contributions to fields of math such as number theory, infinite series, and unusual formulas to calculate pi. Later on in his life, he was recognized by cambridge university and worked on his research there. His theorems blew mathematicians away and proved highly advanced results. He died in 1920 at the mere age of 32 but even in his short life, he contributed a lot to mathematics.

Who's teaching?

Led by Param Jain and Jayadev Ghanta who are freshmen at Lynbrook High School. Param and Jayadev are the chapter directors of the Srinivasa Ramanujan chapter and this year they are teaching students all over the world Java and Biology.

They joined We love STEM in 2021 and are thrilled to help the love of stem grow. Both love stem and strive to contribute to the field. They hope to inspire students to be more interested in Stem and connect the skills they have learned to real world problems.
